Another Year of Navigating Extraordinary Challenges Shows the Strength of TPC Member Leadership

It’s not an understatement to call 2021 a year with unique and once-in-a-lifetime challenges for the healthcare community. Our commitment is always to ensure our Members find the most appropriate solutions to those challenges. As we turn the page on this year, we wanted to share a look back at our accomplishments and highlights.

Big Wins and Big Savings

TPC stands to ensure that independent, community-based hospitals can achieve system value by optimizing operational, financial, and clinical performance. This system-level value includes both cost savings and increased revenues in many departments and categories across the hospital.  In 2021, that total value amounted to over $50 million, with some of the biggest wins coming in:

·       Sourcing: Capital equipment, cardiac rhythm management, plasma products, and spinal cord stimulation devices.

·       Revenue cycle: Vendor management and clinical documentation improvement.

·       Purchased services: Insurance products.

Achieving these wins in such a disruptive year is a testament to our Members. The value captures are exceptional considering the ongoing supply chain challenges the healthcare ecosystem is facing. TPC worked with Member committees to ensure access to critical supplies while also finding opportunities to save.

2021 TPC Committee Chairs – Thank You for Your Strong Leadership!

Members have consistently found success through collaboration. That was again of vital importance during 2021. The accomplishments of TPC are due to its Members and staff. Committee chairs played instrumental roles in meeting objectives.

We want to extend appreciation to those Member leaders that help guide us all through a year of turmoil within the areas of supply chain, purchased services, clinical quality, performance improvement, and revenue cycle management.
